Business Planning

Succession Planning

If you’ve been running a successful small business for years in a very ‘hands-on’ manner, it is often difficult to let go and delegate – or retire. We are approached quite frequently by owner managers who are in just such a position. We help to change their business practices, retaining the good systems and values but creating a more flexible environment which will allow the staff to gradually take over the day-to-day running of the business. The business owner can then take more of a back seat – and can eventually let go, once they feel comfortable.

Of course you don’t have to wait until retirement is looming before you let go – and you don’t have to retire to let go. The lessons to be learned and the changes necessary are the same whatever your age if you’re a very hands-on business owner. Alfred Ivy works closely with clients in this position, supporting and encouraging, assisting with staff training and development, to ensure that the business continues to be successful throughout the challenging period of change and beyond.

If you’d like to discuss letting go, contact us now, for a no obligation confidential discussion.
